Ep 004 Jaime Brown group shot.jpg

This week Clay and Chris chat with television and feature film writer,  Jaime Browne, about working as a writer and showrunner. Jaime has written for many TV series including Last Man Standing, The Secret Life of Us, Laid, & The Straights, along with writing two features: The King, and most recently The Mule, starring the Hugo Weaving, Angus Sampson, & John Noble. Jaime is now focused on pitching pilots in the US, including a new Sci-Fi series Synapse.

You can find Jaime's most recent feature, The Mule, on iTunes, DVD, & select theatres.

We hope you enjoy this week's episode, and stay tuned for our next episode with award winning Sound Designer/Editor Craig Carter, who's worked on a huge number of feature films, documentaries, and television shows.

Points of Discussion:

  • Working with a co-writer vs working alone

  • Writing features vs writing for TV

  • Pitching series to studios, and putting together series bibles and outlines

  • Crediting and the lack of a Showrunner role in the Australian industry
